    The Cement Industry in Ecuador
    In 2007 the commercialization of grey cement in the country was of 4’443.509 tons, which represents a growth of 7,3% in respect to 2006. The Ecuadorian Cement and Concrete Institute shares with the FICEM-APCAC members a report on the cement industry in this country.

    In 2005 the cement industry decided that, as the majority of countries, it should create an organism for representing it. As result of this initiative the Ecuadorian Cement and Concrete Institute – INECYC was born; it began its operations in November of the same year.
     
    First FICEM-APCAC Board of Directors Meeting 2008
    Miami was the meeting point for the first FICEM-APCAC Board of Directors Meeting of the Inter-American Cement Federation, hold in 2008. Coming from 8 American countries and members of the main production companies of the region, the Board of Directors members established clear guidelines for continuing the Federation’s Institutional Strengthening process.

    FICEM-APCAC, with the goal of advancing in its process of Institutional Strengthening and offering an always more attractive value offer to its associates, in coordination with the strategic communication company Pizzolante, offers to all its members the Spokesmanship workshop.
     
    Attend to the World Business Forum: preferential fee for FICEM-APCAC members
    The Inter-American Cement Federation FICEM-APCAC invites its associates to know the World Business Forum, the great annual event for high executives of the international community. This will be the key space where managers and directors from all around the world will be able to share their thoughts, tendencies, and conclusions with the international business and politic leaders.
