On 24th April it was held the second Inter-American Cement Federation?s Board of Directors meeting in Miami. The major points of the agenda were the FICEM-APCAC commissions? reports, the design of an action plan for the Energy Efficiency committee, and the inclusion of a new member.
With the aim of promoting the best Inter-American Cement Industry practices through housing technology, processes, and products the ISCYC and FICEM-APCAC invite the sector members to participate in the 5th National Forum and 1st Inter-American Forum on Housing: Habitat and Sustainability within Globalization. The event will take place on 9th-12th July 2008 at the FEPADE auditorium in San Salvador. During the forum, the FICEM-APCAC Housing Technical Committee meeting will be held.
On 18th and 19th June 2008, the Colombian Cement Manufacturers Institute - ICPC will organize the III Soil Cement International Seminar at the Cáma ra de Comercio Auditorium in Bogotá. 
The Costa Rican Cement and Concrete Institute (ICCYC) and FICEM-APCAC with the purpose of facilitating the communication of technology, process, and products addressed to satisfy the construction and infrastructure area needs in the region, invite to The Concrete Masonry International Seminar in San Jose, Costa Rica. August 7th ? 8th, 2008. The Experts Richard Kligner from United States, Alvaro Poveda from Costa Rica, Timoteo Gordillo from Argentina, and Juan Carlos Rincón from Colombia, and others will expound the last advances in Masonry standardization, design, and construction in the region.
